Parking Lot Safety:
Safety & awareness are a part of our self-defense curriculum. Teaching the kids rules is only part of the equation; practicing them is the other part.

Refrain your child from using the parking lot as a play area. Whether it be tossing around a ball or riding a bike, have them do it on the grass or sidewalk area away from vehicles. Whether in motion or stationary, vehicles can pose a danger.

Between the junior and adult class is a transitional period. Instructors are in the parking lot watching for safety and will stop your child if they see them practicing unsafe behavior. For their benefit, an Instructor may take the time to walk your child through the safety steps of walking across the parking area.

Please be patient if this does happen to your child. I guarantee that if we instill good habits, it will stick with them regardless of where they are.
